Chronic Stomach Pain
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi at the end of last year I got my appendix removed due to stomach pains but it turns out it wasn't my appendix causing the pains. I've been getting niggles and then last night I've been getting pains again and today they've been very frequent and painful, anyone else get stomach pains please help ?

I get cramps and stuff from the IBS but I wouldn't mess with pain that won't go away. Personally I would to go the ER. As fibro patients we have lots od aches and pains all over. My rule of thumb is anything that is different, stronger or lasts longer then you need to advise our health care team or go to ER. GOOD LUCK, Hope you feel better.

You should go back to the doctor, doesn't sound right. Sounds like something is wrong. Also do you know that some food seems to bother people. If you have Fibromyalgia you can have sensitivities to different foods. I only get gas in my stomach sometimes but I have read it is because of some food not agreeing with me. I don't always get the gas. I think sometimes it's from that I didn't eat lunch. But you are getting pain and that usually means a problem. Maybe it's an ulcer. Honey is supposed to help ulcers.

I had super bad stomach pain and got put in the ER for 10 days. I had a stress ulcer to rupture and start to poison my system. It was horrible

Please don't always assume pain is associated with Fibro. Pain can be adhesions after surgery you should get it checked. When appendix are removed you can also get other inflammatory pain, this can affect bowel and bladder. don,t put up with anything painful.
