Members shared their experiences with IBS as a common symptom of fibromyalgia, noting that the central nervous system appears to play a key role in the connection between the two conditions. Several members found relief through medications like Mebeverine and peppermint capsules, Manuka honey, peppermint tea, Buscopan, and Senokot for constipation, though many emphasized that finding the right treatment often requires trial and error depending on whether symptoms lean toward diarrhea or constipation. A recurring theme was the frustration of managing multiple chronic conditions simultaneously, with members offering each other gentle support and solidarity while navigating the overlapping pain of fibromyalgia, IBS, and other coexisting issues.

I read somewhere that most Fibro sufferers will have at least two other issues that either are before or after the Fibro unleashes its fury.
I copied this from the national arthritis and musculoskeletal and skin diseases site.

A person may have two or more coexisting chronic pain conditions. Such conditions can include chronic fatigue syndrome, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, inflammatory bowel disease, interstitial cystitis, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, and vulvodynia. It is not known whether these disorders share a common cause.

I have two for sure but possibly IBS also. Why we have to suffer with multiple chronic issues irritates me.. Someday I hope the find the link to what causes these.

Gentle Hugs
