I just read about your pain in your chest. If doctor is saying it is fibro I think you can trust him. I get pain in my chest too. I will frequently get one just under my right breast, which obviously isn't close to the heart but can be a spasm. I've also had those pains all over the heart region, but I can tell it is in the muscles in the ribs.
I'm going to sum this up: anxiety is a component of fibromyalgia. So is pain in any of your muscles in your body, which include your chest wall. So both of these things are coming together; you feel pain in your chest and you're prone to panic. Sounds like it's causing a loop: I hurt, is it my heart? (Panic.) Then the pain will probably get worse as being ANXIOUS and upset will make the pain WORSE.
See why I suggest meds? Now, if you're one of those (up to now) lucky people who never had to worry about your moods, that is awesome. But if you can short circuit your panic and be able to think rationally, you may not even need to keep taking anti-anxiety/anti-depression meds.
Hope this helps. Sometimes just knowing other people have gone through this crap helps. (Yes, it is crap.)
All the time...at the beginning I was put through so many test and seeing so many specialist. I'm now starting to get more anxiety and feel like my nerves are at there limit. I put earplugs in and try to meditate.
Always have had anxiety and I take buspirone for it And yes I stress over every test
Anxiety does go along with this thing. Sounds like you are having panic attacks, which is one way anxiety expresses itself. I still recommend talking to your doctor, because there are medications that can calm you down. Why suffer from excess anxiety along with all the other crap?
I also always think and feel like I am always going to die..I'm so scared to die..but do u ever envision being somewhere and scared to ask for help or falling over and there is know one there to help..yeah I def. Need to b on antidepressants but they make me feel more weird..can't ever get past first pill.
