Just recently I've been forgetting everything!! I'll be talking and just forget what I had to say or I will repeat an activity that was already completed and I thought I never did it. It's a scary feeling and I was curious if this was what fibro Fog is like or if it's something else causing this?

I think you will find a lot of agreement on this site! I did the wash the other day, and when I went to put it in the dryer, it felt a little too dry. After sleuthing around, I found that I had neglected to turn on the washer! Then I remembered another time I had done the same thing and dried the clothes--couldn't figure out why they just didn't seem to smell as fresh as usual! Arghhh!!

Same here and trying to get my husband to understand is the hard part that memory is going and that the pain some days is so bad that nothing gets done. So you are not alone and yes that is fibro fog

Yes it can be scary..its like where was I? I did not hear anything..sometimes I feel bad because I am nodding saying uh huh but I did not hear anything..its like the brain shuts down Seems our pain is in the forefront of out thoughts..we are having a conversation all the time to ourselves...saying OMG..or geesh have to do thoes dishes?..or did they just ask me to go do that feeling this way? or OMG this pain is off the chart..( as the person is still talking)..we have a illness that does take up a lot of our thoughts..due to the severity..when you apply for Social Security they may give you a Cognitive test...everyone I know who has Fibro flunked it..I remember they had like 6-7 numbers and then they said repeat them all.I said WHAT??? ..or look at pictures and ask what was missing.?..( I did not see anything wrong with the picture) thought she was lyinig LOL..my thoughts were I am getting so stressed out..my symptoms are going off the chart..I got so tired I started crying it was a 2 hoour test..brain shut down..and flunked the test...They are aware of this..this is why you win Disability for Fibro..its not because of the pain...its because the Cognitive problems we get...we have to remember where we parked our car..we have to remember what we are doing at work..we have to hear instructions..we have to be consistant( yeah right )...we have to be present mentally..to do a good job..well to say the least throughout the day all this changes ( by the hour) .anyway there is real reasons our brain leaves us..( Fibro Fog)..Hugs and much love your way..!!

Every day! Sometimes in mid sentence. I've also been forgetting words, names, spelling of familiar words. Losing EVERYTHING. Forget passwords! I will know mine , change it, and then totally not remember the new one. Even if it was 10 hours before. Fibro fog... Dementia... It drives me crazy. And it's embarrassing. My husband doesn't understand it at all.
