I find myself getting swollen eyelids every once in a while. Especially when I'm having muscle stiffness in neck/head.

Members who experience swollen eyelids shared that the issue often stems from sinus congestion triggered by weather changes, muscle tension in the neck and head, or occasionally hypothyroidism, though thyroid-related swelling is uncommon. Several members described practical remedies that brought relief, including placing cool washcloths or cold tea bags on closed eyelids for 5 to 10 minutes, taking sinus medications like Tylenol Sinus, and consulting a doctor if thyroid issues are suspected. A recurring theme was the community's mutual understanding of how fibromyalgia-related symptoms intertwine, with encouragement to advocate for proper testing and not settle for dismissive doctors.

Good for you for getting another doctor! Swollen neck glands generally aren't related to your thyroid unless you have thyroid cancer, which is very rare. You can have a goiter on your thyroid gland or little nodules on the gland. Swollen glands are actually swollen lymph nodes, an entirely different thing that's actually common with fibromyalgia, according to my doctor. I have them all the time and I'm also hypothyroid. As for the eyes, puffy or swollen eyes can be a result of hypothyroidism. I woke with them one morning. I looked like Rocky Balboa after a fight but without the bruising. It's pretty uncommon though and I've only had it once or twice in 25 years

Sounds like sinus trouble. I get it during cloudy damp days. My sinuses act up and my eyed get puffy. Tylenol for sinus works best for me.

Really Candace? I didn't know that. I had blood tests done for thyroid but my doctor isn't very concerned for my well being. I knew this when she refused to refer me to a rheumatologist. So I will have to try another doctor and get the blood test again. I have an awful time trying to lose weight and I have suspected thyroid. Just wondering if swollen neck glands have anything to do with thyroid?

It can be a sign of hypothyroidism, but you'll probably see it more often
