I think they just don't want to prescribe them. They prescribe naltrexone which is used for people who are coming off of opiods or alcoholism. Go figure. Sorry, one of my major peeves. I think I may have had Vaginal Fissures before as I tend to have dryness issues.. Not to be inappropriate but I don't like to have sex as it hurts because of the fibro, it makes my hips hurt m y legs hurt, everything and I have become even more dry and now that I am becoming menopausal I am even more dry and really don't want to do anything. I also had an episiotomy with my son and tend to get fissures there, so I am guessing that I was maybe not stitched correctly or it may just be that because of the dryness it makes it hurt more.

Ok basically an anal fissure is a hemorrhoid that has ripped or split. I had one surgical repair . I recovered nicely. Unfortunately for me I'm un happy the doctor didn't get rid of it. I have what I call a skin tag . So I would talk with your doctor and make sure you know how he plans on repairing it / what if anything you will have left once he does surgery

@A MyFibroTeam Member I wish guys could understand that (the ones that do not have fibro). It does hurt and you just want them to leave you alone :( its not that you don't love them, its they are not listening to our needs and only to their needs and wants. I thought it was a partnership where it was about 2 people not 1. Guess some men don't see it as that :( which is sad, really.
