Members connected over the frustrating cycle of unpredictable bowel symptoms, including constant switching between diarrhea and constipation, nausea, food sensitivities, and rapid weight loss that left many afraid to eat. Several members shared strategies that brought them relief, including the low-FODMAP diet, peppermint capsules like Colpermin, eliminating meat except fish, cutting out gluten and high sugar foods, and systematically removing then reintroducing foods to identify triggers. A recurring theme was the importance of seeing a gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis and support, as distinguishing IBS from medication side effects or other conditions requires professional guidance.

I have struggled with IBS, since I was 3. I now took meat right out of my diet, except for fish, and I am on a gluten diet. I started this last Summer, and ever since then, I have been going like clock work.
This is the first time that I have been normal with my bowels. I also cut out a lot of junk that contains high sugar. Sugar can also cause a lot of problems with your organs. I only get natural sugar from my fruit.
It was hard at first to put myself on a strict diet, but now it comes naturally. I hope this helped you.

I had the same thing a while ago, it's awful and worrying isn't it ?? It's definetly worth going to your doctor to make sure it is your ibs playing up. Mine was ibs and as a result my doctor recommend the fodmap diet which if you look on the Internet it explains all about it, I was also told by my gastroenterologist to take peppermint capsules. I hope this helps , I hope you start feeling a bit better soon.

Hi AmiiMayy

I perfectly understand what you going through because I'm having the same problem. I have an appointment with a gastroenterologist in Feb 17 because I can anymore with this problem. If I'm not contipated I'm with diarrhea or stomach ache and nausea. Sometimes I don't even what to eat because I'm afraid of getting sick after.

Have you checked out Fodmap.
It gives you a list of what you can and can't eat.
Try cutting stuff out and then add it back after a few weeks. If you have a problem with that food you will know. My daughter is going through the same. It's awful.
