Members openly discussed the challenging reality of managing fibromyalgia-related fatigue, with the overwhelming consensus being that learning your personal limits and listening to your body without guilt is essential for day-to-day survival. Several members shared practical strategies that help them cope, including taking short naps (especially after lunch), scheduling rest days between activities, using Epsom salt baths for relief, attending physiotherapy, and adjusting daily plans based on energy levels rather than forcing themselves through tasks. A recurring theme was the frustration of wanting to exercise or complete household projects but facing days of pain and exhaustion afterward, alongside the emotional work of releasing guilt, accepting a slower pace, and recognizing that bodies with fibromyalgia simply operate differently.

I try to do the"right things" like eat well, some foods can upset my IBS I go to physio at hospital, they have also referred me to local leisure centre(I go with my sister) I take several meds & im not cured, but it mentally makes me feel better. Recently experts made a healthy 25 year old man stay in bed for several weeks & it took him 3 months to get back to good health. So we can try and do some form of exercise,as long as we know our own boundaries, because we are all so very different. Take it easy everyone! ❤️

While I agree with what everyone has said, I strongly agree with @Lily20 about not feeling guilty for not getting things done. I used to beat myself up about it, but I gradually learned that I am just not going to have the housed all cleaned from stem to stern. Often I will finish with things in time to start over again. I've also had to learn that postponing doing things is not so bad. While there are some things I have to do on a schedule, there are many things that I can do as I feel up to it. It has meant a big change in the big picture of my life, but I've adjusted to it and get along pretty well most of the time.

Yes I agree with all the answers. It's just doing what you can do and take a break from it . Don't make your body do something that you feel like you can't. Our bodies tells us when to stop. I have learned that with this I have limits now and not to feel guilty for not getting things done . I'm not the same anymore.
