I've only been on my phone about 25 minutes now and I've been on it longer before and have not had it happen.

Members strongly agreed that experiencing tingling, numbness, and sudden loss of grip while holding phones is a common struggle, with many describing how their hands unexpectedly drop objects like hot drinks, phones, or other items they're holding. Several members shared that the issue extends beyond phones to any prolonged gripping activity like writing, using utensils, or driving, and many have found some relief through strategies like switching hands frequently, keeping hands warm, using speaker phone or headsets, and taking medications like Neurontin or receiving steroid injections. A recurring theme was the challenge of distinguishing whether symptoms stem from fibromyalgia alone or overlapping conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, nerve entrapment, or circulation issues like Raynaud's, with members emphasizing the importance of discussing these concerns with rheumatologists.

Yes.. Tingling, numb, stiff, fingers actually "cramp up & freeze" under certain circumstances, like when I over utilize my iphone, iPad or laptop. (My mostest, worst 'hot spot is in my RT shoulder blade area... (where a woman's bra strap or the band runs around your front & back) & when this flares, I try n use speaker phone to talk, or a headset if I'm with other people..
I also have carpel tunnel and ulnar nerve entrapment on my right.
Hope these descriptive words help you understand what I feel And, hopefully you could use my two hints to relieve some of your pain & discomfort!

Yep. I switch hands often, and try to avoid long conversations at all times.
