Members shared experiences with worsening heartburn and bloating despite taking medication, with many identifying common triggers including certain pain medications like ibuprofen, stress, specific foods (oats, grains, dairy, fried foods), and constipation. Several members found relief through daily proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole or lansoprazole, dietary changes such as eliminating fried foods and keeping a food diary to identify sensitivities, and practical remedies like peppermint tea, yogurt, and eating smaller meals more frequently. A recurring theme was the connection between fibro-related symptoms and digestive issues like IBS and GERD, with strong encouragement to consult a doctor to rule out complications like hiatal hernias or stomach lacerations, especially when symptoms suddenly worsen.

Definately related to fibro. I also take meds for GERD but sometimes when I get really stressed, whichbrings gall bladder like pain I take Simethicone for extra relief. Best route is to avoid stress, haha!

I get the same bloating symptoms with my IBS, I also have horrendous reflux because of a Hiatus Hernia, so I also take a similar medication to #StuartWalczakGillies
My bloating can take place before I finished a meal so I'd investigate the IBS route if you haven't already been diagnosed ...it's very common with Spoonies and is listed as one of the Fibro symptoms ๐Ÿ’œ

Hi Andy. I take omiprazole foe the indigestion. I do feel bloated a lot. I got some lactose and senokot to help relieve the bloating and constipation. After a fee days I realised that I can't take the lactose also had to change to semi skimmed milk. Dairy products seem toake the bloating worse

If you don't get relief soon, please consult your physician. It's possible you have a hernia (hiatal, I believe). My doctor thinks I may have one but need a test done to confirm it. Gentle hugs and brightest blessings to you, always.
