Members connected over the shared experience of severe heartburn and GERD, with many describing additional symptoms like dizziness, chest pain, and acid reflux that can be triggered by medications or worsened when lying down. Several members shared that medications like omeprazole and ranitidine provided relief, though concerns were raised about long-term use and the ranitidine recall, while others found natural remedies helpful, including yogurt, avoiding inflammatory foods, and juicing celery, cucumber, and apple. A recurring theme was the importance of managing symptoms through a combination of medication, dietary changes like paleo or keto approaches, and working closely with doctors to find what works best for each individual body.

Yep. Every night if I don’t take my ranitidine but it seems to fix the issue. Only occasionally get heart burn now. It reminds me of I forget my evening pills as it comes as soon as I lay down. My doctor (who is awesome by the way) says it is caused by some of my medications.
