Members shared their experiences using essential oils to help ease fibromyalgia pain, with lavender for relaxation and stress relief, peppermint for migraines and pain, and rosemary for general pain being the most commonly mentioned options. Several members described blends containing wintergreen, camphor, helichrysum, and other oils applied directly to sore muscles, while others noted that affordability was a significant barrier to exploring oils more fully. A recurring theme was cautious optimism, with many members feeling the oils provided modest relief or at least a soothing sensory experience, though uncertainty remained about whether benefits came from the aroma, cooling effect, or true pain reduction.

I have used oils on certain areas of my body. I am not sure if it is aroma or cooling effect that helps. I also use prescribed 20 percent diclufenac salve, and it temporarily relieves pain.

I do yes, I think certain ones help. My wife made some concoction that I use and it has worked modestly in the past.
