That clicking sound could be a few different causes. I know my joint click and pop (sometimes it really hurts and other times there is no pain) usually that clicking sound is cartilage moving and can be caused from injury even if it was a long time ago. If you have not seen a doctor about this I would encourage you to go and maybe get an x-ray as it might be damage from your fall. I do not think one month is very long and it wouldn't surprise me if your knee is still tender especially if its tendon or muscle (soft tissue) injury. Cold treatment such as an ice pack on the knee (make sure you cover the icepack with a towel so you don't damage your skin) and hold it on your knee for 15 to 20 minutes will help with swelling if its swollen. Also heat can be applied as well and sometimes helps with pain in an old injury. Good luck and I hope you find some comfort soon. Gentle Hugs.

A&E sometimes send you back to your GP if the injury isn't recent. Do you have a walk-in centre where you can go to get it looked at? I know that having to wait for an x-ray but somethings are too important to ignore. Fibromyalgia has links to trauma as I know 1st hand so just make sure that any correctable physical damage can be treated before it's too late. Be strong and be patient...waiting isn't always so bad is it ;) Gentle hugs xx

I broke my right leg when I was very young and it still bothers me to this day if I sit wrong or stand wrong it pops and it hurts some times I can be walking and my knee will give out on me. So if you damaged nerves with your fall and since Fibromyalgia affects your nerves it could give you problems for the rest of your life. I sometimes have to put a brace with splints in it and it does help. So you could try that and see if it helps you.

Hope you feel better soon.

Go to your primary care physician and see what she says. She may give you a referral to a specialist. I hope you have a pain free day soon.
