Members rallied around someone who fell and injured their knee, sharing that fibromyalgia can intensify pain from injuries and make recovery take longer than it would for others. Several members offered practical suggestions including icing the knee, wrapping it with an ace bandage, elevating it above the heart, taking ibuprofen to reduce swelling, and seeing a doctor for an x-ray or orthopedic evaluation if the pain persists to rule out ligament damage. A recurring theme was the shared experience of increased clumsiness and coordination issues with fibro, with many members describing suddenly walking into things, dropping objects, or even falling when they were never clumsy before.

Aweh hun you could put an ice pack on it. And it's probs really bruised aswell as grazed. Due to you having fibro it may have caused a deeper bruise. And aggravated your existing pain even more. So it may take longer for your swelling to go down aswell. Just rest up hun with an ice pack on it. Take care and godbless . Tracy xx

Yes, if your knee still bothers you in s eel an orthopedic doctor should examine you and make sure you didn't tear a ligament. Ice pack and ace wrap and elevate knee over your heart should help for now. Best wishes.

Knees and any joints can do this, especially if you hit the right spot. Maybe its added on to the pain you normally get
