Members strongly encouraged someone experiencing sudden, severe lower back pain to seek medical evaluation immediately, with several suggesting possible causes including kidney stones, bladder or kidney infections, bulging or ruptured discs, and pinched nerves. Many community members shared that they experience similar debilitating pain that stops them in their tracks, with relief strategies ranging from nerve blocks and trigger point injections to over-the-counter pain relievers, though some noted concerns about long-term effects on the liver and kidneys. A recurring theme was the recommendation to try turmeric as a natural anti-inflammatory alternative, with several members reporting it helped their pain without significant side effects, while emphasizing the importance of getting imaging and proper diagnosis rather than assuming it's fibromyalgia.

@A MyFibroTeam Member..... Yes Tumeric works. It is a spice, so ,unless allergic to it... unusual, there are no side effects.
You can also try Curry powder which has turmeric in it to a lesser degree. Ginger is also good.
Research anti-inflamotory foods and herbs and spices. Tumeric has many benefits . My neighbour has been using it and says it is good. I use curry powder and love it.

Tumeric works for my pain, I have not had any of the side effects yet. We all know that can change.

Get your kidneys checked, people with Fibro use a lot of ibuprofen and it ruined my kidneys. I now use Tumeric. That pain you described is how I feel and have felt off and on.

Yes! This happens to me a lot. Stops you right in your tracks and takes your breath away. I used to take Tylenol and Aleve to help make the pain more bearable, but because those are starting to hurt my liver I now have to grin and bear it. I'm not much help on relieving the pain, but I do know exactly what you are talking about.

I have had that since mine started and I can't walk more than 50 ft without being in excrucating pain, and I have to sit or lay down. I've tried nerve blocks and pain meds I get trigger point shots, those do help my ears ringing and my shoulders bunching up in knots. it doesn't last the whole month but you take relief when you can get it.
