Yeah I started getting anxiety and panic attacks last year with my Fibro. It's awful.
crowds is always an issue with fibro suffers it is not always easy to go out unless you know the people you are going out with or to meet. Join a local fibro group this helps get you used to going out again and all the members understand what you are going through. Sitting in all the time is not good mentally for you you need to try and interact I know not always easy.

your optimism is almost contagious ... think I could ask you to give us some more? my last 2 weeks have been very, very disheartening for me. not only am I not making enough money to support myself, I feel like I've let my co-workers down, my employers down, my family down. I remember the days that I walked into a room ... and I took charge of that room (work purposes) ... now I try to hide & stay out of the spotlight as humanly much as possible.
I know just what you mean! I keep wondering what my new normal is. Some days I can do things for a couple of hours and some days I only can function in little chunks of time. I'm still discovering what works. I did put a team together just recently to help me get as healthy as possibly. I have my GP, my counselor, my psychiatrist, a physical therapist, a warm water therapist, a chiropractor, and a massage therapist, and I've been in Weight Watchers since June (I'm working very slowly). I still need to set goals, but I plan to do that after reading The Power of Habit a second time. I have been diagnosed for four years and actually had fibro for 15 years before my diagnosis, so it has taken a while for me to get to this point. I hope that all of us can find our new normals and that these new normals allow us to participate in the really important life events! We can learn to let the other stuff go, right?
I dont like going out to socialize with my friends and family. I am embarrassed of what I have become. I have added so much weight, always tired, walk with the cane. I used to be so energetic. All my friends and family say gosh what happened to you? This is not you or fair you used to be so energetic that we couldn't keep you seated. I am seeing a therapist for this
