Members strongly related to the original question about sunburn-like skin sensations over fatigued muscles, with many identifying it as a common fibromyalgia symptom that can be so severe even light touch becomes unbearable. Several members shared practical relief strategies including physical therapy, BioFreeze for cooling relief, ice packs, and simply resting for several days when flare-ups occur. A recurring theme was the emotional difficulty of navigating this invisible pain around loved ones, especially young grandchildren who don't understand why hugs or playful touch can cause such distress.

It's part of the fibromyalgia symptoms. I get it all the time. It's so painful that no one can touch me.

yes that's me I'm afraid to be around people especially small Grandchildren. Who want to jump and climb on me, they don't understand that it hurts me and I try very hard not to scare them.
