I have problems with my hands swelling painful lumps etc. I find soaking them in hot water is really helpful

I think it's trial and error with this but I have had a lump on thumb which is extremely painful but not always there but if it persists check it out with your doctor

Gout is actually a form of extremely painful arthritis! I think I've had a bout of gout a few times in my life. The cause of gout is high levels of urich code! I'm sorry you are going through this crap. I saw my rheumatologist yesterday and he fired all the medications he prescribed and I start new ones later this week. Back to the drawing board because none of the medications he put me on have helped at all.

My lumps are from my joints swelling and not letting the blood flow properly. My gp thinks I have gout.

I always have pain and stiffness in my hands. However, I haven't had any lumps in my hands before.
