The pain clinic scheduled me for "trigger point injections" has anyone had success with this for Fibro?

Yes
I get them monthly.
They are very tiny needles I barley feel them because my muscles are like rocks.
They inject all my neck back just the sore spots they seem to know or I point them out this is done in my pain md s office.
The day after I am a bit sore but I feel much better than I was feeling before the injections there are no side effects for me.

Oh. Yea. I had serious pain in my arm and got the toradol shot in my arm and it helped alot. But tried it for my back and I don't know if it was because they can only give in arm or butt, but it didn't touch my back pain at all.
Each of us tolerate pain and medicine different so I pray it works better for you.

I just had them today. I went into the doc in tears because my neck/shoulder/arm were at a9 on my pain scale. This is a new doc to me and she wanted to try this to see how it would work for me. I noticed a difference before I even left her office. 4 hours later there is still pain but nothing like before, this is the level of pain I feel everyday in this location. I did some research on this when I got home and everything says to have it done monthly but she told me I might need it weekly or even a couple times during the week, so I'm not ssure about that. She said also thought that maybe doing toradol shots into the muscle on a regular basis might need to be done just to get the inflammation under control as this has been chronic for 8 yrs niw

I have gotten trigger point injections many times over the years and believe them to be a God-send. When nothing else will help the huge knots of nerves and muscles that I get in my shoulders and back, these injections help release those balls of nerves and decrease the intensity of the pain. My doctor back in Indiana is FABULOUS, and you could barely even feel the stick. I'm still having problems finding an acceptable doctor here in Wyoming. I'm hoping the next one will be the one.
