Icy fire is the best way to describe it, if my feet or hands are outside the doona they get that no matter the temp. I get the pins and needles the same times Chelsea as well my right arm also goes nimb if its above my head.
It happens to me too...especially at night...it wakes me up....or if my body is in a certain way it affects my arm and hand....my foot goes numb from time to time too.
I also have that symptom. My pain is divided into nerve pain, (prickly feelings in hands, arms and legs, numbness those areas intermittently ) muscle pain, (aching, burning sensations and muscle spasms) and skeletal pain (joints getting so stiff and painful that it is sometimes more than I can do to stand even for a few seconds). I couldn't understand why I would have the nerve pain and skeletal pain when I was diagnosed ,(16 years ago) but as the 2000's went on and more and better research was done, It was found that the brain misfiring and overreacting to pain stimuli was what caused the pain and then I could understand because anywhere that would normally hurt very little was being misunderstood by my brain. I am sorry that you have been diagnosed with fibromylgia. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy but teo of my daughters are on the cusp of being diagnosed as well. They have the same kinds of problems that I had when I was their ages. It makes me so sad to see that.
I have constant pins and needle and burning in my hands. Sometimes pains into my forearm and bicep. Dr originally thought carpal tunnel then tendinitis. I got a cortisone shot a few months back. Helped for a bit but it didn't last
Thanks xx
