I would be walking and then pain would shoot out at the drop of the hat and the numbing sensation would turn to a sharp pain of twisting a/o snapping of my shins. I also experience a rolling of the ankle a few times. Am I the only one that experience this?

Members validated the experience of sudden sharp pain, ankle rolling, and shin sensations that feel like injuries but eventually resolve, with several describing these episodes as intensely real yet sometimes dismissed by others as imaginary. Many shared practical coping strategies, including wearing supportive ankle braces, choosing sturdy footwear for longer walks, and soaking in hot Epsom salt baths followed by generous lotion application to ease discomfort. A recurring theme was the fear and uncertainty of whether these episodes are fibromyalgia symptoms or separate injuries, with members offering both reassurance that rolling ankles can happen to anyone and personal stories of actual breaks or repeated ligament damage that seemed connected to their condition.

Marileenuttt... I thought my response posted, I guess not. My ankle happened at work. It was random. Just walking along and rolled my ankle. I have had 7 ACL reconstructions also. 1 was due to sports the others were either walking or disinagrated

To be fair, not one of my symptoms are specific only to fibromyalgia. I am not being smart, just saying. And I don't get sprains, just intense pain that dissipates over time, usually a couple hours. By the way, like the name!

To be fair, lateral ankle sprains caused by 'rolling ankles' are common for the general population and not specific to Fibromyalgia.

that happens sometimes on the right foot. I have resorted to wearing sometimes ugly but good supportive shoes when I am going to walk very far

I have shin splints and plantar fasciitis that I have had for years. Now it's as if it's there all the time even when I wake up. Seems like I've tried everything. Anyone have any ideas for comfort?
