Members shared their experiences with burning leg and arm pain, with many identifying it as nerve pain and recommending medications like gabapentin, amitriptyline, and Lyrica, though responses to these varied widely. Several members found relief through magnesium supplementation (up to 1000 mcg daily), Epsom salt baths, turmeric with ginger, Voltaren cream, and fish oil, with one member noting magnesium helped multiple symptoms including restless leg syndrome, muscle cramps, and insomnia. A recurring theme was the frustration of navigating unclear diagnoses between fibromyalgia and lupus, the trial-and-error nature of finding what works, and the importance of being well-informed about supplements before trying them.

I took magnesium for my burning knee's, restless leg syndrome, muscle cramps, helps with insomnia, my anxieties, and constipation.

yep feels like I've been on a tread mill all day long. Really is a pain. my dr kept saying lupus then she said fibro, so really I have had no actual diagnosis. The rheumatologist says fibro also.

I use gabapentin and amitriptyline for that pain. It's nerve pain that causes that burning. Those medications are meant for that, the amitriptyline only helps with a low dose though, otherwise it becomes an antidepressant. Lyrica is supposed to help too, but it didn't work for me.
