I cant remember to pay the bills( I don't forget I just cant put together that the 5 is in 3 days so I should mail this bill), I cant manage my money, I cant manage my time. I forget to refill meds for myself and children. At work I will be in the middle of a task I do a dozen times a day and wonder what I do next. I feel worthless and stupid. I tried a very detailed calendar...if anyone finds where I put that thing please let me know! I don't know what to do anymore. Someone suggested vitamins… read more

Members rallied around someone struggling with cognitive issues, offering compassionate reassurance that fibro fog is real and not a reflection of intelligence or worth. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them manage daily tasks, including phone calendar reminders with alarms, automatic bill pay through banks, pharmacy auto-refill programs with text and email notifications, writing down work processes step-by-step with numbered photos, and designating a single account or credit card for all bills to simplify tracking. A recurring theme was the importance of self-compassion and using every available tool without shame, with some members also noting that magnesium supplementation, dietary changes, and in one case Adderall prescribed by a doctor, significantly improved their memory and focus.

I write everything down. When I have dr appts etc I put it in my planner, as well as when my bills are due, etc. I have terrible brain fog. I have to make sure I put my keys in the same place every day, and when I go to stores I always park in the the same row or two so I can find my car. lol.

I live by my calendar where I can set reminders...set the reminders for when you need to mail it and when it is due...Magnesium has help me greatly...slow things down...just a little bit...even more then you already have.

I'm having same issues but not as intense . First u r not stupid, I've been told when in chronic pain your thought process is overwhelmed. Try to breathe slowly in and out and relax, go slow too. My self confidence with house or work related secretarial task is affected due to the fact I do something and swear it is correct when in fact I made a mistake.
