Does having fibromyalgia have an impact on anyone's activity in the bedroom with one's partner?
I ask because I have found that in the last few months since I was diagnosed that my interest in it has changed. It sometimes feels more "uncomfortable" than pleasurable. . . And a little painful too.

Members openly discussed how fibromyalgia affects intimacy, with many describing challenges like pain, difficulty holding positions, muscle cramps, and vaginal dryness that can make sex uncomfortable or even impossible. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them, including using Premarin cream for vulvodynia and dryness, switching medications that reduce libido or orgasm ability, using over-the-counter lubricants, and taking extra time with foreplay to reduce discomfort. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of lost desire or energy, the fear of post-activity flare-ups, and the importance of patient, understanding partners who recognize that these changes are real and not a reflection of love or attraction.

For me it is the pain of staying in any one position that is the problem. It makes me flare up and that makes me fear the flare up. My husband is very patient, but I know it is hard for him.

Some of the meds they put you on for Fibromyalgia can affect your desire and also cause dryness. Talk to your doctor about it. They may be able to change up your meds. There are also some great products that you can use for the dryness. You don't need a prescription for them.

Yes. You may need to use a lubricant because alot of medications cause dryness everywhere. I have found that if we take our time getting to that point its alot less painful.

I find it difficult. I'm not able to maintain a position for too long. I get cramps.

I think Cymbalta is giving me a hard time in reaching orgasm and sometimes, I'm shaking.

It is not so bad, but I didn't have problems before.

I also use Premarin cream it helps. I also have dryness because I had an emergency hysterectomy when I was 26 y/o and it caused me to have dryness so the Premarin cream helped with the dryness and pain.
