Members overwhelmingly confirmed that chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia commonly occur together, with many describing them as going hand in hand along with IBS, though a few noted that not everyone with fibro develops CFS. Several members shared that their fatigue has worsened over time, with some now bedbound or unable to complete basic tasks like dishes or walking without needing days to recover, and expressed frustration that doctors often recommend exercise despite it causing severe crashes. A recurring theme was the challenge of getting clear diagnoses when symptoms overlap, the confusion around whether CFS and fibro fatigue are the same condition, and the reality that this combination creates a debilitating daily struggle that many are still trying to understand and manage.

I think with fibro especially having it over 20 years I feel like it actually becomes more and more a part of the disease. I used to be able to make it through the days but no longer. I am fatigued to the point as soon as I get up, ready, honestly Id rather lay back down. But I do agree as above they both are hand in hand.

Yes. Most of the time, if you have fibro, you have chronic pain and chronic fatigue, stomach problems, and alot of us have migraines.

Fibro, CFS and IBS go hand in hand but not everyone has all three or even two. I have all three my sister has Fibro only. One thing we have to be careful of is STATIN DRUGS. I have just had a reaction to those . Been on one for a year this morning I had the worst muscular pain to the point of not being able to walk. No more statins for me. Can't take the side effects anymore.
