Head pain (although not necessarily migraines) are a side effect, but I have never heard of a pounding heart. Maybe you can get your blood pressure checked, that is the only connection I can think of. Depending on how long you have been taking it, give it a good go before you decide the side effects are too much. A lot of people don't take their meds long enough to find out if they pass or not, and Oxycodone is a good and effective drug.

I have had a lot of patients who are on that drug and it worked well because of the slow release. Hope ut works for you!

I used to take it & for me it worked well. I can't take the slow release morphine as the additive to make it slow release just doesn't work for me. Best of luck & if it's not working speak up! We all have to be our own advocate as, sadly, doctors now won't.

It's what my pain management doc gives me. I need a little stronger dose than I'm on but it helps a lot! My neurologist would not prescribe it however, before I started with pain management.

Just wanted to update you. I've been taking it for 3 weeks now and the head aches have gone and the pounding heart beat. My doc said they woul and it's the first time in 18 months pain in my legs isn't waking me up every night. So fingers crossed as my doctor said I think we've cracked it. It's the third pain killer he's tried in that'd 2 months. I'm really pleased it's working. Thanks for all your replies. X
