Anyone else feel like no matter how hard you try there is just not enough time in the day. I start the day off with a list to do I swear by night I just added more to it. It becomes overwhelming and adds to my stress which just makes it worse. I feel like I'm on a never ending hamster wheel.

Members deeply connected over the overwhelming struggle of managing daily tasks and to-do lists while living with fibromyalgia, with many expressing frustration that their bodies no longer cooperate with their minds the way they once did. Several members shared practical coping strategies, including the 10-minute rule (working for 10 minutes then taking a break if needed), prioritizing wants over needs to avoid burnout, and practicing acceptance that perfection is no longer possible. A recurring theme was the additional challenge for those with OCD who feel compelled to clean and organize but lack the energy, with many finding relief through medications like Cymbalta and learning to pace themselves while extending grace for what remains undone.

I have done several workshops about business stuff, and they're always like, you can do 3 things in a day! I'm like, whoa, I try to accomplish way more than that, and I've got less energy to do it with, no wonder I'm struggling. PACING. This concept is helpful, and my husband gets it, and reminds me...he helps pull me back on good days, and coaxes me into things on bad days. Also, I find a huge difference in letting go of the things I NEED to do, and doing the things I WANT to do. If you wait to get to the wants after all the needs are addressed, you'll be miserable, because you'll never get to do them. Sometimes it helps to re-evaluate what needs done!

I have the 10 minute rule....If I see something that needs done and I don't feel well, I give it 10 minutes to deal with the task. If after 10 minutes I feel worse then I quit and take a 10 minute break. I seem to get more done when I am allowing myself a break.

I feel exactly the same. The house is never clean enough and I never get around to doing some of the bigger projects on my list. When I was healthy, I worked full time in a stressful job, the groceries were always done and the house was clean. I don't understand how one can deteriorate so fast. Very frustrating, you are not alone.

I like ReneeRenee 10 minute rule...that sounds pretty good, but I can relate, I work 50 hours a week and I get very overwhelmed throughout the day and my neck and back suffer the most with my legs.... I have to stop, pause, take a deep breath from the belly and out through the mouth, re-adjust myself and move on.

Thanks Renee that's a great idea. I'll try that.
