I have GERD and IBS. I take omeprazole 20mg twice daily for GERD.

My daughter found that food was taking too long to leave and had a meds and food change. Doing much better.

Yes Irritable bowel is common. It does not digest for a few days and sometimes you have this huge urge to have bowel movement like you can not hold it with sever cramping. I have digestive problems also. I am on thyroid medicine it does not seem to help. I got a medicine that helps with the cramping but still have severe cramping and food does not digest well. I would suggest that you watch carbs and gluten. Both are triggers for fibro digestive problems. I try to stay away from it the best I can.

Thanks everyone...the information is helpful. They did orgomally think it was my gall bladder but ran many tot to check for gastroparesis and my liver and gall bladder functionality. All test confirmed ok and they felt like due to my flare up it effected my stomach.
