At dr now... Decided to get flu shot because if FM makes everything worse... Then I dont want the aches and pains of the flu as the pain will be 5xs worse. I know the shot may hurt more, but figured worth it.

Members shared mixed experiences about getting the flu shot with fibromyalgia, with many choosing to get vaccinated despite concerns that the injection site might be more painful or that they could feel run down for a few days afterward. Several members described practical reasons for getting the shot, including working in healthcare or public-facing jobs like bus driving, having respiratory conditions like COPD or chronic bronchitis, or simply wanting to avoid the much worse pain and fatigue that actual flu would bring on top of existing fibromyalgia symptoms. A recurring theme was that while some members experienced soreness or brief flu-like symptoms after the shot, most felt it was worth the temporary discomfort to reduce the risk of full-blown illness that could be debilitating or even dangerous with fibromyalgia.

I also get flu shot and pneumonia shot as I also have chronic Bronchitis and Copd. So for no problem with the shots, just a sore arm for a few days. Good luck

I got flu shot last year and was sick for 3 weeks with it. I didn't get the flu after that but not sure I want to be laid up with flu like symptoms on top of my already flu like symptoms ....

I always get the flu shot and the pneumonia one as scheduled. It doesn't stop me from getting the flu and I do feel blah for a few days after getting it.

I get it because I'm sure without it the flu has the potential to hospitalize me.
