Does Anyone Have A Pain Simulator (device Surgically Inserted Into Your Body For Back Pain Control) And If So Does It Help?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Wondering how the pain simulator works,,,how often is the battery changed which requires additional surgery, how was the surgery to have it implanted, can you swim and take a bath, does it help. Does it limit your ability to do anything? How long have you had it? Would you recommend it? What are the pros and cons of this therapy?

I got refered to the pain clinic that's a lot higher than the one I was under about this. Once my symptoms got worse and got a fibro diagnosis she refused to do it then (it's was originally for my spine) x

Yes, like I said before. It is not a tens unit. I was the first one at my pain clinic to try this item. I was hoping for a good outcome. They first put it on the outside so they can see if it works, before surgically implanting it. The trial period was a few days, but I had to go in early to get it removed. Any type of stimulation hurts my back. It works differently, but still make me hurt. It might work for you, it just wasn't for me. Good Luck.

Mine is a portable one. Love it. You place the electrodes wherever your issue is and it works the knots out giving you relief.

I have a friend who had one , but she opted to have it removed later . Apparently they are quite fidderly to recharge the battery you have to plug it in and she said its not easy.
