I was prescribed amitriptyline a few years ago..i had to come off it because I'd sleep amazing but I'd wake up.. (well try to) and I'd be like a zombie and I'd sit on the sofa for a hour before I could function ..only way I could describe it was like being hung over....doctor tried me on the lowest dose...In the end it was in liquid form and even 1mg would knock me about..so the doctor put me on nortriptyline. ..apparently it's the sister drug to amitriptyline but without the excessive tiredness...i found it worked fab! I was under the impression that Gabapentin was weight neutral, unlike Lyrica which is bad for weight gain.
