Swelling Foot
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have a problem with their feet swelling up? I have a problem with my right foot. By the end of the day it is hard to walk.

yeah both my feet swell on a regular basis and Dr says its just something to deal with nothing that he can do to help. i had a foot Dr before i was diagnosed that suggested cortisone shots every week tried it once and it helped but it hurt enough that i didn't want to do it again. the only thing that i have found that helped was wearing boots that are a size to big to leave room for the swelling and they are not as snug on feet. i used to wear gym shoes switching shoes helped a little. good luck

I have it in both my feet and calves, but mine is due to lymphedema and can only be treated with wearing dr. prescribed stockings.

I have a burning red hot feeling in both feet, aching stiff they feel swollen but dont look it, its awful I use a freeze spray on them, one just like an heat spray to try and calm them down especially at night time its awful I cannot sleep cause if it it comes and goes its very strange.

Yes both legs and feet swell and sometimes leak fluid. I never stand when you can sit, never sit if you can lay down, an old nurse years ago told me this when I started training. I do raise my legs higher than my body. But sometimes the pain is really bad. Dr just wants to give water tablets but I won't as then you have to go to loo quickly and I'm never fast! Good luck just try that tip x Therasa
