Yes I hide because all I would do is complain.
Yes! I hide behind it all the time. I've tried to educate my husband with everything I know, but I don't think understands the full realm of it.
Mine does have sympathy, but carer fatigue is a thing.
I agree with all ya'll. My husband of only 6 years knows me too well, I can't get away with pretending to not be in pain. He has watched this horrible diease from the beginning and the only thing I have to keep telling him is that I'm not ready to give in to allowing it to stop me from going and doing.
I'm truly blessed with him and this site. It lifts so much off when others understand. Of course I still have family that doesn't but I know how to handle them.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I too have tried to explain it to my hubby but I swear he gets a glazed look when I am talking. Plus at times I think some men think our pain really isn't that bad. The stigma that women are weak still follows us but I would like them to handle our pain on a daily basis. I get frustrated because if I mention my pain the conversation usually ends up about how he hurts from doing a physical job all day :(
