Hi, is anyone of you familiair with sun rash? Normally the sun makes me feel better, I have less pain and it gives me energy. At the moment we are on holiday and since two days I'm having sun rash on my back. It's itchy and since I experience a lot of skin pain this is far from funny. Could it be due to medication or is it just another symptom I have to deal with?

When I go on holiday and in the sun a bitmore than usual I get this and yes it does pain I first got this rash and soreness with it 5 years ago when in Tenneriffe, I went to the local pharmacy who were great and said I had what was called Prickly Heat, they gave me a couple of tablets to take a cream to apply and over a couple of days it got better and I never had it again til this year when I went to the Algarve!! Prior to this year I've been to Menorca and Crete and NEVER got it, plus living in the uk, Ive never had it there either, I think it could be something to go with where you are and Also some meds do say don't go in direct sunlight!! Worth looking into!!
@ sunrash I am very sun sensitive, skin and eyes. I get hives, blisters and migraines! It is associated with FMS, I'm sorry to tell you this, also sun block does not help with this. What does help, is dark sunglasses, and try to go outside in the evening. Good luck :)
You could have sun allergies. They can developed at any age and our of the blue. I have them, the sun hates me. Here's some info on it http://www.drugs.com/health-guide/sun-allergy-p...
Keep sunning - it will go away!
A lot of meds cause sensitivity to sun and can cause more vulnerability to sun poisoning. I experienced it 3 yrs ago.... bad rash with painful itch and sensitivity. Since then I can't have sun directly on my back. ๐
