Members confirmed that experiencing a painful, burning sensation on the face or body without visible redness or rash is a common fibromyalgia symptom, often described as feeling sunburned or having inflamed nerve endings that shift unpredictably from one area to another. Several members shared practical relief strategies including chamomile tea compresses, Eucerin lotion, coconut oil, and eczema creams, while noting that wearing loose clothing like sweatpants instead of tight jeans can help minimize discomfort during flare-ups. A recurring theme was the unpredictable and frustrating nature of these invisible symptoms, with encouragement to trust personal experience and try different remedies to find what works best.

Yes. Sometimes my face feels so sensitive that putting on my makeup is too much. It's itchy and almost feels sunburned.

Yes, I get that feeling on various parts of my body off and on. I've never had a sunburn, but that burning sensation that comes and goes is probably what sunburn feels like. However there is never any evidence of anything that anyone can see. I sure feel it though. Sometimes I boil some chamomile tea, let it cool and use it as a compress, if it's my face or part of an arm. I hate that everything that touches it feels like it's scraping me raw.

yes, thats the body burn. i get that in odd places all over my body. if its on my face it bothers my gums and head. if its on my back it hurts to wear tight fitting clothes( jeans, tee shirts). its doesnt show up either and it eventually gos away. must have something to do with the nerve endings.
