Does anyone else have your legs start shaking on their own and at night you are in pain and have spasmings in your legs?
@A MyFibroTeam Member , @A MyFibroTeam Member: You're right about the sleep studies. I think people often blow them off, but when I had mine done it helped me to win my SS Disability case. The tech that was monitoring my results called the in-house neurologist b/c he was afraid I was having seizures despite the fact that it appeared I was sleeping. The neurologist told him that it was my pain receptors in my brain registering a high degree level of pain even though I was in REM sleep. When a neurologist shows proof that you're in deep sleep & your brain is still registering high levels of severe pain, that's pretty irrefutable evidence in favor of you having chronic intractable pain. That's the biggest obstacle for those of us w/invisible pain b/c we can't prove it. But that sleep study helped me prove it. @A MyFibroTeam Member; You should definitely reschedule your sleep study...it could help you in ways you don't even know about yet. Good Luck.
@A MyFibroTeam Member Lol Bump the cat!!!!! My legs have literally thrown my cat clean of the bed smacking him into the mirrors. He is a huge cat 30lbs. plus, Not sure why he continues to sleep at my feet poor guy.
@A MyFibroTeam Member; Ask your Fam Dr (or whomever ordered your sleep study) to give you a copy of their report for your records. They are your records & you are entitled to a copy if you want one (sometimes they charge to print them off, but it's usually nominal & under $1.oo, under $5.00 for sure, but it's worth it. You should keep all of your lab results & test results (like MRI's, sleep studies, etc) in a file at home so you have a copy if you ever need it for any reason, specifically for SSDI, or to get handicapped parking, or for work (if you still work).
@A MyFibroTeam Member, you made me lol at being wired weird! hahaha! I'm a Nurse & was reading the report from a MRI study I had done when they discovered I had a benign brain tumor. After the test I took the report & MRI films to my favorite Dr. that I worked with & asked her to take a look & give me her opinion. On the report it said that I had an "unremarkable parenchyma of the brain", & I scrunched my nose & tilted my head & joked "nu-uh! I have a very sexy parenchyma!" & she started laughing so hard. When you said you knew it was proof that you had always been wired weird you made me crack up just like she did. I bet you're a lot of fun to hang out with!
Thank you @A MyFibroTeam Member! I'm def gonna reschedule now thought it was just another one of those "things" I had to go through to tell me oh its just your Fibro!
@A MyFibroTeam Member: wonder if that is what the specialist who did my sleep study meant when he said on paperwork "Patient has a very unusual brain." At the time I laughed it off, thinking...at least there is proof I'm wired weird. Maybe I should have another sleep study done.
