I recently have been feeling dizzy or kind of off balance/disconnected upon standing. This is new to me. It's almost like a "drugged" feeling but I'm currently not taking any prescriptions at the moment. Does anyone else feel this way? Any idea of the cause?

Members responded to someone experiencing new dizziness and a disconnected feeling upon standing, offering both practical advice and compassionate concern. Several members suggested checking blood pressure in different positions to rule out orthostatic hypotension, exploring whether neck tension might be contributing to symptoms, and considering vertigo as a common issue among people with fibromyalgia. A recurring theme was the urgent encouragement to seek immediate medical attention if symptoms worsened or were accompanied by headaches, vomiting, or vision changes, especially given how long some members had been waiting for their own doctor appointments.

I'm so sorry but happy July is rushing towards us, you're appointment is too far away.
Do you have this feeling all the time ? Is it only when you stand, watch tv, turn your head !
I am worried for you. Please go to the Hospital if you have any additional issues like a headache or you vomit.
Promise ?

And if it's low you can have dizziness when you stand. To find out, Take (or have someone take) your BP when you have been sitting up for a minute or two. Then stand up and repeat the BP. If it drops more than 20 points (especially systolic; the upper number), you can have what is called Orthostatic Hypotension, which fortunately is not a usually a serious problem.
