The nurse that returned my call from my PCP recommended a palliative team instead. Had my appointment today with a large team of different kinds of doctors/support. After meeting, sharing history and exam, the team recommended 1) appt with the functional medicine team (impact of herbs I take, acupuncture, etc), 2) cognitive behavioral therapy, 3) appt with neurologist due to prior falls, and 4) adjust two medicines to improve affect. Grateful for the listening, variety of perspectives shared a once and recommendations. Hoping these steps will lead to improved relief. Will continue to share and greatly value your sharing as well. Gratitude.
Hi @A MyFibroTeam Member you are not alone. It took my PCP 3 months to find a rheumatologist that would take a fibro patient in all of Northern California. The rheumatologist said it was because it is linked psychological issues. EX. I have PTSD. So I hope it helps.
Yes it helps thanks! My problem is I have been diagnosed with fibro a lot of them won't see me because I have.
@A MyFibroTeam Member, I am SO glad for you that you had this team evaluation! I hope and pray that, between them, they will be able to help you feel better. Keep us updated! 💮
