How many of you have some sort of arthritis or other auto immune illness? If so what? And what other tests did they run to come to that conclusion?

Members shared a wide range of coexisting conditions alongside fibromyalgia, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, hypothyroidism, Sjogren's syndrome, chronic fatigue, Epstein-Barr, IBS, Hashimoto's, and low testosterone, with most diagnoses confirmed through blood work, x-rays, or MRIs. Several members described frustrating diagnostic journeys marked by dismissive doctors, years of being told nothing was wrong, multiple ER visits, and symptoms that were visually examined but never properly tested, with one member requiring hospitalization before finally being believed. A recurring theme was the importance of advocating fiercely for oneself, seeking second opinions, and not giving up until a doctor takes symptoms seriously and runs the necessary tests to uncover the full picture.

I've always had severe allergies which is technically autoimmune. Everything else arose in a 5 year span of age 23-28 for me. I have Hoshimotos, IBS and low testosterone.

-Hashimoto's was the first thing to arise and even though I had every doctor check my thyroid levels during a 3month's time (I think total of 5 doctors checked my levels?) it took a neurologist finding a tumor on my pituitary gland (from an MRI) for it to finally be identified.

-IBS I've discussed with every doctor and I will admit gastrointestinal doctor has also found ulcers both times he looked into my stomach issues so could be more that than even just the IBS.

-Low testosterone, I had to go to like 4 different endocrinologist, 2 primary care physicians and finally gave up and just asked friends when somebody suggest their OBGYN that specialized in hormone treatments (I was experiencing exact same symptoms as my mom as she was going through menopause but mine were much worse and accompanied by other issues).

Low testosterone and Fibromyalgia were diagnosed within about a month of each other so I honestly never even know what's what. But, I do know I have all of the fibro symptoms consistently at an extreme level (I had to leave 3 jobs because I couldn't work anymore and couldn't drive because I literally passed out driving) when my testosterone is low, and only sporadic, confusing/inconsistent symptoms when my hormone levels are good. I'm convinced my body's trying to fight through/cope with the Fibro for 4 months when every body just kept telling me I was fine is what caused the testosterone issue. It took me being hospitalized because my organs were shutting down from the heightened adrenaline and lack of sleep (I think that was my 7th ER visit during that 4 month time) for somebody to agree something was wrong and the pain was real. Even then they initially said it was just pinched nerves until the Rheumatologist diagnosed Fibromyalgia about a month before the other doctor diagnosed my low testosterone.

I also have osteoarthritis. Hypothyroidism, my ANA levels are higher and my CRP is high. ANA has to do with autoimmune diseases but they can't get a true diagnosis of one. CRP shows an inflammatory process.

Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Osteoarthritis, Bulging disks L4-5 S1 C4-5-6, Compressed Sciatic Nerve.
X-Rays, MRI's, EMG Finally after 4 years blood work to rule out RA that I was diagnosed with by another doctor 4 years ago.
2 Neuro-parameter blocks, 2 diagnostics before attempting a Radio Frequency Ablation which was only done on my right side due to the left showed no improvement with the diagnostic test.
The current Primary I have has been wishy-washy on putting anything other than acute pain in my reports. He said the diarrhea could be from gallbladder yet did no testing and not mentioned in my records yet Prescribed a fiber powder 3x daily.
2 years ago my hands started peeling like a snake and it was dismissed as an allergic reaction to something again no testing Prescribed a steroid cream. This almost lost me my job because of how it looked to my co-workers.
Calloused ring finger with flattened nail confused 3 doctors and dismissed as I must be tapping that finger more than others again no tests done - only visual exam.
