A lot of you talk about flare ups, which I do have, but I also have constant pain where my hands, feet, fingers, toes, hurt basically all the time. I can sometimes block it out and deal with it, but other times it puts me on the floor in so much pain
Then if I do anything, drive, type, walk, hold my phone, etc the pain gets worse
My question is do any of you have constant pain and is anything you do to help it. I know the flare up are bad, which are usually around a 7 or 8 on the pain… read more

Members connected deeply over the reality of living with constant daily pain rather than just periodic flare-ups, with many describing baseline pain levels between 3 and 7 that spike higher during flares or physical activity. Several members shared management strategies that have brought some relief, including gentle stretching and slow walks, biofeedback and meditation techniques, swimming and aquatic exercise, heating pads, lidocaine or Sombra creams, Lyrica or Gralise (gabapentin), and in more severe cases, pain management specialists and opioid medications (though many cautioned about long-term dependence). A recurring theme was the emotional comfort of knowing they are not alone in this daily struggle, with members offering solidarity, validation, and encouragement to newly diagnosed individuals navigating the shock and grief of a fibromyalgia diagnosis.

Try bio-feedback I do it all the time. All you need is a place to sit , you go through step to relax when I am done it is like a took a vicodin.

I have constant pain, typically a level at five to six daily. I take 200 mg of lyrica once a day. I typically don't have many opportunities to relax but laying down with a heating pad helps tremendously.

I am in pain for the most part everyday. I think the difference between the nagging everyday pain and a flare up , for me is when it's so bad I can't even get out of bed.. I also have no advice, but you are not alone..

With my new medications Gralise(gabapentin) I take 1800mg and I do stretching exercise and a little exercise like swimming and walking and it has helped me a lot but I still have good and bad days yesterday I had my 2 grandkids 8 and 10 year old and we went to the pool had a good day but today I woke up with migraine and I'm so sore but planning on walking a little bit even if it hurts me.
