I don't get them. I'm in constant pain. Is anyone else like this? Is it normal??

Members connected over living with constant pain rather than episodic flare-ups, with many describing their baseline as moderate to severe discomfort that intensifies when they overdo activities, experience hormonal changes, weather shifts, or stress. Several members shared their pain management strategies, including medications like Cymbalta, Gabapentin, and low-dose opiates, prayer and meditation, pacing activities carefully, and learning to recognize when heightened pain qualifies as a flare rather than their daily norm. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of chronic pain, the challenge of not wanting to rely on strong narcotics, and the importance of being gentle with oneself while navigating a condition that makes even simple tasks like making tea feel impossible.

Hi.
like you my pain is constant(the bang your head against the wall kind)
i think that how i deal with it varies.
for me bad weather/stress/pms etc make me not handle it so great and i isolate myself as hate people seeing that side.x

#Morehope Believe it or not, a good many people have periods of remission. More seem to be like me. We live at an 8 on a 10-point pain scale, and often or rarely, flare up to nine or ten. My flare ups usually last for days, easing down to my normal 8. Since I started taking Cymbalta and Gabapenten, I have even had a few 7 days in the last six months. When the pain is really bad, I take hydrocodone--Norco.. I have had narcotics to take, but I don't want to take chances, so after a few years, I started a no narcotics policy, except for surgery. It takes me prayer, prayers from others, meditation, medicine, and sometimes just rolling with the pain for hours or days, but eventually the pain lessens.

I am in constant pain as well. I seem to have what I guess people consider flare-ups if I overdo it and with hormonal fluctuations throught the month. My pain level increases. I have gotten used to the constant pain, and I would describe it as a constant state of discomfort. During flare ups, I feel like I'm being tortured!

Sending hugs to you all.
