I know that people get dizzy with Fibro but mine is more of a vertigo. I feel like I'm on a tidal wave and can't get off. If I am laying and turn over it just sweeps over me. The room spins and I get nausea. If I move suddenly it often happens also. I know it could be something else entirely but was wondering if anyone else feels this. Sometimes when I stand I get a feeling of complete weakness, as though my body has just turned off, and feel like I could collapse but so far haven't fainted or… read more

Members validated the experience of vertigo and dizziness with fibromyalgia, sharing a range of causes including low blood pressure, positional vertigo, allergy-related ear congestion, thyroid issues, and syncopal episodes requiring heart monitoring. Several members found relief through practical interventions such as antihistamines like Benedryl at night, Flonase nasal spray, Betahistine for dizziness, Singulair for allergies, and checking thyroid and iron levels with their doctors. A recurring theme was the importance of ruling out other conditions through proper testing while acknowledging the frustration of vague symptoms being dismissed, with many encouraging the original poster to advocate for thorough evaluation and not assume everything is fibromyalgia-related.

It is allergy related for me. My ears get clogged up and then I get vertigo, sometimes I throw up...so attractive...what works for me is to take antihistamine every nite and then snork Flonase every morning. Don't u love these technical terms? Benedryl at nite helps keep my ear tubes unclogged.
