I am a diabetic and had the yeast infections all the time.. UTI urinary tract infection.. so am not on blood thinners............... thus I do 3 parts water and 1 part ocean spray cranberry and drink it all day.. about 16 plus ounces a day. If could tolerate a 2 part water and 2 part cranberry.. would do that.. but I do not tolerate sweet tasting stuff... USE HONEY OR SUGAR.. REAL SUGAR.. NO CHEMICAL COMPOSITION ...
the urinary area / the perineal area is close to that of the mouth (oral cavity ) thus I have my pharmacy (drugstore... locally owned) order for me VINCE.. I know I know it is a dentifrice .. for gargling and rinsing mouth... but to put the water with vince solution on the perineal area.. keeps it clean.. I just put the solution in a cleaned out (formerly a fleet enema container.. bought and dumped out.. cleaned well) then I fill the vince/water solution and I spray literally around pernineal area.. separating the folds of the area.. and spray................DO NOT INSERT........ just spray area and then rinse.. keep area clean.. I KNOW I KNOW... TAKING IT LONG WAY... BUT IT SEEMS TO WORK.. I CUT DOWN UTI FROM ONCE A WEEK TO NONE..
all of the above, am not a 'blood thinner' (am a natural ??? bleeder??? but I can drink a 3 water to ONE part cranberry juice.. "ocean spray 100%" I drink about 16 to 20 ounces plus a day of this mixture. and as said, I am aware of the yeast infection (fungus) so keep that area very clean-- and use like desitin (as used on babies butts) rinse and dry well, etc etc. and I do gargle with peroxide or with VINCE. and even salt! WE DO WHAT WE GOTTA /do ...... Doctors do not know it all.. and they cannot possibly know it all as they spend 15 minutes with us... what......once a month!
Caroline--yes, yeast in the oral cavity as in the mouth, or in the vaginal (perineal area) is very similar. Heard about yogurt , never thought about it or used it.. but did the Vince both orally and rinsing / cleansing the vaginal area.. works 8-) doc suggested those OTC yeast --monistat etc.. but those only served to increase the yeast and the burning increased .. Yeast is a fungus and not treatable by antibiotics.. Oh desitin (the baby stuff) works well.. fungus grows very well in damp areas.. .........
I was told to go gluten free, no MSG, no sugar unless is unprocessed
I agree that Candida is a problem, a yeast problem.. but it seems to be more external than an internal problem. with what I described above, it has handled my problem for me. and many times the bladder does not empty properly, being damp is a problem, and not keeping area as clean as possible... Well ............
