I suffer endless sleepless nights. I am on pain meds, Dormonoct and Neurontin and still battle to sleep. Can anyone suggest anything else that I can chat to my Doctor about. Really need to sleep.

Members rallied around someone struggling with severe insomnia despite already taking pain medications and sleep aids, offering a wide range of suggestions to discuss with their doctor. Several members shared medications that worked for them, including Trazodone, Klonopin, Ambien, Mirtazapine, Seroquel, and Ropinirole, while others recommended natural options like melatonin, chamomile tea, Sleepy Time tea, and magnesium supplements. A recurring theme was exploring root causes and comfort factors, with members noting that pain medications themselves can cause insomnia or itching, and that investing in a supportive mattress or adjustable bed frame made a significant difference in their ability to sleep through the night.

If you google magnesium and sleep you will find its recommended for relaxation, also apparently low magnesium = inflammation

50 mg Trazadone and 1 mg klonipan. I sleep like a baby. After many years I have had to double the dose. Trazadone can be a bit difficult to get use to. It will cause you to have day time drowsiness until your body is accustom to the dosage.

@charleneLynnSclanders..Well, first of all is there anything that really bothers you? finance, family, I know health does....I had problems sleeping for over 12 years..Doc would give me sleeping pills for 30 days but then I would go back for more and he would refuse, said that he doesn't like to give sleeping pills on longterm...I was put on Cymbalta and some other antidepressant taken at night which just made me feel very unwell the next morning. When I've reached the maximum dosage, he put me on Lyrica and for me...and gave me a good night sleep...just as long as I don't sleep during the day...for me sleeping during the day robs my sleep at night
