As time goes on with fibro you will have memory loss. Its just part of the beast.

I haven been on Neurontin (gabapentin) 600mg 2x a day and I haven't noticed any more memory loss then usual. It's always bad for me. But it's a trial and error for everyone. You just have to try them until you find one that helps, and doesn't have side effects, or ones you can't live with. Cymbalta gave me a my head is going to explode headache for 3 days straight and I said forget this.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Hi Michelle... I was put on Gabapentin in July last year. It took awhile to get up to the recommended dosage, actually i could not get that high so I take 400mg three times a day. Helps but Holy Smokes!!! I thought I had a stroke. So yes... I have to make an appt with pain clinic and then try to get onto something else. I did had some memory issues from the fibro anyways but this was significantelly different. Good luck .

I am also on Gabapentin. I haven't noticed it causing memory problems because I already was having that problem from the Fibro.

The Neurontin does add to the memory loss but it also helps with the numbness and nerve pain. Its a toss up to me.
