I have itchy sore scalp, especially at night, I thought maybe it was my pillow as the dog sometimes sleeps on the bed.
I tried antihistamines but haven't made any difference

Frances75. Yes, I have itchy scalp and sweats, seemingly experienced mostly at night. I think being active during the daytime, we just do not notice as much. I have told this to several doctors and they just give me a blank look. Even the dermatologist did the same. So, where do we find the answers? My own diagnosis is that I have a yeast/fungus problem, for which I take probiotics daily which seems to help. I can say that because when I get off the probiotics or eat too much sugar, my itching gets worse. God luck to you.

been wondering about this myself even experiencing it now. Since its worse for me at night, I apply hydrocortisone cream. None of the anti itch shampoos help me nor Benadryl. So when I just cant take it anymore, my klonopin that I take as needed for panic attacks, does actually help. I am not sure if my dr would be happy knowing this, lol

@DenaBaily This is an actual condition of the fibro and it really don't matter the temperature. I so hear you about the hair, I have very thick hair and I can sweat so much you would think that I just took a shower. If you scroll up and read some of my answers maybe something will help.

Are you to meds? My gp told me that it was a side effect of some of my meds. I also sweat like crazy now too. It just pours out of my head, my hair will be dripping. By the way this happens while I am sitting in airconditioned house!

@A MyFibroTeam Member those itches that move around basically all over are nerve racking. I find that my hands are forever in my face especially trying to relieve an itch. I tend to feel like there is something on me crawling around and all it is NERVES very frustrating. Sometimes if you scratch them itches the end result is burning sensation.

I get itchy scalp and nose, I thought it was eczema as it sometimes erupts into sores and the itch scratch cycle begins. It's really irritating especially when I've got out of the shower and itch from head to toe or can be lay in bed and suddenly get one of those moving itches that I can't seem to catch aaarrrggghhh!

Yep I have that... I find a shower at the end of the day before bed helps along with Benadryl, I am allergic to codine and with those bad pain days when I take to much tramidol it makes for my head and back itching really bad. I will wake the next morning with claw marks on my back and neck from scratching in the middle of the night. A nice coats milk cream at night helps me too
