My husband and I are starting the IVF process and I want to know if I can pass fibromyalgia on to my kids? and if I do become pregnant will my fibromyalgia get worse?
I agree, find another rheumatologist! They’re the ones who know all about this disease. Are you sure he’s not an MD? ❣️
I have you name it, all the bad symptoms of fibromyalgia & I'm not able to hold a full time job. I have had this for 24 years now. I also have severe depression because I have lost my purpose of raising 2 daughters that are adults now. How do fibromyalgia people make it financially by themselves?
No husband, knew how hard it is to get on disability. Then got custody of my grandchildren and needed to work to feed them and keep a roof over their heads. It wasn’t fun and very stressful, I do t… read more
Thank you so much.
I am increasingly unable to go anywhere where there are bright lights. Fluorescent lighting in particular brings on dizziness, nausea, confusion and swearing headaches. Can't go shopping and find it very difficult during my many Doctor and hospital appointments. Tried wearing sunglasses and UV computer screen filtering specs with decreasing success.
Yes my rheumatologist moved to another building and I don’t like it one bit. I started feeling dizzy, it’s the bright lights that’s did it. It could have been weather too. Anyway, I had to call my… read more
I am becoming phobic about blood pressure readings. The cuff apparently causes a surge in Adrenalin from pain detection by our hyper vigilant nervous system. I have had readings of 220 / 120 routinely. Before Fibromyalgia my BP was always extremely low. It becomes extremely painful very quickly as the health carer keeps pumping up the pressure to get the last beat. This is a vicious cycle of increasing pain causing more Adrenaline which keeps increasing the blood pressure readings. Are there… read more
I'm still waiting for my neurologist to make a diagnosis, currently she is just considering this as a likely dx for my symptoms. I know at my next appt if she decides this fits she is going to recommend Lyrica as the treatment. I would like to have some information before I just agree to take another drug. Already talking one for pain and another one for tremors and muscle spasms. Does anyone have experience with this medication?
I know for sure it makes you gain weight already had this problem didn't need more. SLEEPY is next at first it seemed like I was always sleeping but not as bad now. Evelyn
I seem to get daily fatigue around 6:15 to 7 pm, where I cannot keep my eyes open and then, I get fatigue for a wk. sometimes when I can barely get out of bed. ..what's going on?
I deal with the same thing I mean EXACTLY the same thing as you. PLEASE don't drive it will get you as your driving. It ended up being some of my medication but my blood work also (vitamins were low)… read more
I found a question and answer on Google that just doesn't make sense to me. First I read that it may be different in different people,, meaning (?} that it could be autoimmune. Then it says Fibro is not autoimmune, which I thought it is. So, here's Google's answer.
Is fibromyalgia autoimmune or neurological?
They may be different in different people. Current research suggests involvement of the nervous system, particularly the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Fibromyalgia is… read more
From what I understand it is not autoimmune. It is neurological and muscular. But, I am no expert.
I am overthinking things. But does anyone know if coffee or caffiene makes the fibro worse? I am an avid coffee drinker and I am just wondering if I am hurting myself with this.
Good morning coffee gives me energy especially a double shot lol xxooxx
