Im trying to regain some control again, the fibro and meds have graciously added at least 70lbs pretty much all in my belly since all this started, and i cant stand it anymore. Ive found aquasizes and love it and have some success with yoga at home, but my balance isnt great and im so big the poses are hard. Does anyone have recommendations about equipment to invest in that i could zone out on and can gentle enough even for some of the not good days? Treadmill? Elliptical? Others? Thanks!!
I'm wondering about small, pea sized lumps under the skin that are painful to the touch.....Have any experience with fibroids ???I sure could use some ideas if you could please share.....Thank you !
I'm curious about functional medicine. I see I have some around Nashville. Just wondering if anyone has gone or is going to a functional medicine Dr or Natural Dr something different than the 5 minute pill pushing doctors who don't give a crap! Ok, I'm done..😕
A bit embarrassed to be asking about this but do any of my female friends get this recurring horrid infection? Do you have any tips or advice? I bought some Actimel and im going to buy some pessaries tomorrow. I get it every time im intimate with my boyfriend without fail and its ruining my life along with everything else. Is it more common because of our immune systems?
I see lots of discussion and helpful suggestions about dealing with the pain of fibro, and I do appreciate those. However, for me the fatigue is the most debilitating part. Some days I wake up feeling decent, but just taking a shower wears me out and I need a nap.
Has anyone that has fibro only progressed. I know doctor's say you don't progress but I'm wondering different... Like has anyone gone from being able to walk to needing a walker or wheelchair, things like that? I think the disease progresses myself because I think I've had this for some years and now in the past year it's gotten to where I can't work and I'm in pain every day.
I just moved to Los Angeles from Denmark and are looking to try some new treatment for my Fibromyalgia. In Denmark they don't know much about Fibromyalgia which is why I am excited to try new treatments in LA. Does anyone know a good doctor in Los Angeles who knows about fibromyalgia treatments? Maybe someone who has knowledge about LDN. Has anyone tried LDN and does it work?
I'm trying to figure out how to describe the way my feet feel. It's a combination of things. Some sharp pain and then they also feel like they are tight.. I think I have heel Spurs, but not confirmed yet 🤷 and I do constantly stretch and wiggle my toes and feet 🤷
And my ankles and calves always hurt( which I guess could be all the extra weight) Can any relate??? Suggestions ( besides the obvious)🤨😛 Thanks in advance ❤️
In Michigan, I saw a rheumatologist. I am new to California and need to get connected with someone for fibromyalgia, I called my G.P. and they said to see a specialist. The insurance company referred me to pain specialists and one rheumatologist - called rheum and they said they only treat immunological issues, not fibro. I am a bit put off by pain specialists but maybe I am stereotyping. What do you recommend?

I've heard that most fibro patients deal with some swelling at one time or another. I have had a few instances where I feel one part of my body is swollen, but lately it feels as if my entire right side (foot, leg, arm, face) is swollen.
This started last week when I noticed my foot was visibly swollen, it went down within an hour. However over the last week it has come and gone and now it's more than just my foot. I've had a bunch of tests but everything is either fine or I'm still awaiting… read more
