Getting two different medical opinions about fibromyalgia can feel overwhelming, especially when you're already managing pain and fatigue. The stress of conflicting advice can absolutely make symptoms worse, so it's worth having a clear approach.

Here are some steps that can help:

- Write down both opinions so you can compare them side by side without relying on memory
- Ask each doctor to explain their reasoning β€” understanding the "why" can help clarify which approach makes more sense for your specific situation
- Consider a third opinion if the two are very different β€” a fibromyalgia specialist or rheumatologist can be especially helpful
- Track your symptoms so you have real data about what's working or not working for your body
- Trust your own experience β€” you know your body better than anyone

The most important thing is that you feel heard and supported by whoever is guiding your care. As a MyFibroTeam member once shared, "The more I learn about fibromyalgia, the more I realize that it's not my fault." The same goes for feeling confused β€” navigating this condition is genuinely hard, and seeking clarity is always the right move. 🌺

Find a Dr you trust and feel comfortable with. I see my GP. He knows me well. He helps me look after my diabetes, Asthma .and all the other symptoms that goes with them. He also found the adenoma on my Parathyroid gland and sent me to the surgeon. He is also the one who picked up on me having Fibro. So I trust him completely. Its your choice. ❀️
