Yes I had one when I was 37, diagnosed with Fibromyalgia at 26 yrs old. To be completely honest I won't sugarcoat it, it was absolutely horrific. The pain was a 20 on a scale of 1 to 10. I couldn't hardly do the physical therapy I was supposed to because my fibro & the knee were debilitating pain. I ended up having to go back & get it redone & was in a cast with my knee bent from my ankle to my hip for 6 weeks. When they took the cast off my leg was stuck in the bent position & it hurt sooooo bad. I walked with a limp for probably 10 yrs & I would say only in the last 3 to 4 yrs it is finally almost completely straight. My left knee needs replaced but I don't know if I could mentally survive it again.
Sue, I have had fibromyalgia for 26yrs & have never seen a rheumatologists. Maybe I need too.
I googled this. I hope it helps and find a different rheumatologist if she can and call and ask before setting appointment with new rheumatologist if it treats Fibromyalgia. I have PC, Rheumatologist, Neurologist and Spine and Pain Care Doctors. I'm in good hands. I hope she has a good team soon.
Unfortunately I really can't & I am sorry. I also have osteoarthritis & am in alot of pain most days. I have heard of "new" jiffy knee. Supposedly way way less invasive but I think its a pretty new thing. I live in St.louis, Missouri & the closest Dr. I know of that does it is in Chicago Illinois. Good luck & please keep me posted.

Can you think of anything that would give you a better outcome if you did the other leg?
If one is in terrible pain with severe knee arthritis and meniscus tears, one can only endure that for so long too.
Angel, did you have to get the leg re-done because the muscles were not strong enough to support the implant?
Is there any way to build up the leg muscles while dealing with fibromyalgia? That is the key….
